This EP has some of my favorite use of tremolo on any ambient tracks, particularly. the way it sneaks in. By the end, everything is pulsing both against and with everything else. It's a brilliant way to unify the music while distinguishing the individual layers within it.
I appreciate the distinction between the two movements of the piece and the ability to listen to only one, but these really need to be consumed as a single track. I won't be skipping over "A Burning Down I" any time soon. johnpenola
This music is eerie but somehow comforting, too. The violin in "Haven Returns" is really quite beautiful - it's an evocative moment when it comes in. The whole album create a great ambience for writing, which is when I usually listen. giantspecks
